Queenstown by Danielle Sieu Ou

Destination Queenstown is leading a delegation of Queenstown tourism businesses and officials to China in October – one of the first events celebrating the 2019 China-New Zealand Year of Tourism.
The China Tourism Exchange will provide an opportunity for Queenstown tourism operators to strengthen relationships with key travel trade partners in China, with a focus on highlighting unique and premium experiences and encouraging year-round travel. The trip will enable the group to gain market intelligence about Chinese travellers’ travel habits.
Queenstown Lakes District Mayor Jim Boult will join the group, attending Destination Queenstown’s tourism industry event in Shanghai on 16 October, before travelling to Queenstown's sister city Hangzhou for two days of official meetings and a sister city function.
