Brisbane: New Zealand’s Mosley has been nominated for Best Animated Feature Film at the 13th Asia Pacific Screen Awards, to be presented in Brisbane on November 21.
Starring Rhys Darby, Lucy Lawless and Temuera Morrison, Mosley is the first original feature film NZ/China co-production,(external link) and is directed by Kirby Atkins, produced by Daniel Story and Bill Boyce. It is up against three films from animation heavyweight countries Japan and Republic of Korea, and in its first APSA animation nomination, the Islamic Republic of Iran.
A special screening of Mosley followed by a Q&A with director Kirby Atkins on Sunday 17 November forms part of the free APSA animation weekend at Queensland’s Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA).
Mosley is currently showing in New Zealand cinemas.
